SEARCH PROCESS

Beginning with our initial consultation through post-hire follow-up, our process is designed to provide clients with on-target candidates and to minimize the demand on their time; this allows them to focus on managing their business, while at the same time remaining fully informed:

Client Consultation 

  • Meet with client to obtain a complete understanding of the culture and human-capital needs of the company.

  • Work in conjunction with the client to reach a consensus on the scope and responsibilities of the position and its reporting relationships, compensation package, and a profile of the successful candidate. 

  • Development of a distinctive search strategy.

  • Creation of job specification, approved by client. 

 

Identification and Assessment of Candidates

  • Identify target companies and industry sectors through the use of public and private information resources.

  • Identify prospective candidates using proprietary database, leveraging previous like-and-kind engagements, and sourcing network of contacts.

  • Screen and evaluate candidates, which include in-person interviews.

 

Candidates Interviewed by Client

  • Provide client with resumes of candidates with an evaluation of each candidate’s strengths and weaknesses against   the job specification, as well as motivations, concerns and current compensation.

  • Facilitate client interviews of initial candidates.

  • Obtain feedback from client and candidates.

  • Review progress of search with client and recalibrate strategy when necessary.

  • Present additional candidates based on client’s feedback from initial candidates interviewed and/or changes in search strategy.

  • Prepare periodic reports outlining our search progress.

  • Clients typically meet an average of six candidates before selecting a finalist. 

 

Selection of Finalist Candidate

  • Assist client in the selection of a finalist candidate. 

  • Maintain close communication with candidate throughout process.

  • Provide client with verbal and written reference reports. 

 

Offer Structure and Negotiation

  • Assess candidate’s current compensation and make recommendation to client based on the assignment parameters. 

  • Work with client to structure an offer and extend offer to candidate.

  • Assist with negotiating the offer and provide guidance dealing with counteroffers. 

  • Oversee the resignation process and start date of employment. 

 

Hire and follow up

  • Assist client and candidate in a smooth transition. 

  • Follow up with client and candidate post-hire.
